Cabin Trip 2009

Over the years, our cabin trips has evolved and changed, as we changed as well. One thing that has not changed is the feeling I get being with these girls. We do fun things each year, but I think my favorite part is always coffee and conversation on the porch.

Father's Day Celebrations!

This year we celebrated Father's day at the cabin with my dad and grandpa on Saturday with a fried chicken dinner. My mom posted those pics on her blog (See Links: Marcia's Blog). Then on Sunday we went to Juan's (Jose's brother) for a BBQ. We had a wonderful time celebrating all of the wonderful dads and grandpas at both celebrations.

Father's Day Art

I tried to get her to look at the camera, but she was so proud of her artwork that she just couldn't stop looking at it. Jose LOVED it!

This one was funny because I drew around Jose for fun, then he did me. Before we could ask Joslin, she was already laying down ready for her turn.

Water Baby

12 hours later (ok closer to 24)... Joslin LOVED the pool. We"swam" together Sunday afternoon. On Monday morning, she saw the pool out the window and kept saying "agua, agua, agua" and "outside, outside, outside". She couldn't wait to jump in again!

We also started water babies tonight at the rec center. I thought the big pool might be a little intimidating, but she was excited from the beginning. When I was drying her off after class she kept trying to wiggle free to get back in.
