Cool Rainy Evenings

What could be better on the first cold night of fall than Joslin's first taste of hot chocolate?

GOL!

When we found out that Jose's favorite soccer team from Mexico, Club America, was playing in KC at Arrowhead stadium we jumped at the oppurtunity to go. It was a friendly game (not qualifying) against their arch rivals Las Chivas. It like KU vs K-State, Halstead vs. Hesston or Barkley vs the mailman but on a much bigger scale. Soccer is religion to these fans. It was quite an experience. Before we got there I asked Jose if I needed to be worried if our team didn't win. But it turned out to be a friendly rivalry. The crowd was alive throughout the entire game. The energy was awesome. A cultural experience that I won't soon forget.

Pud-das

Several rainy days plus one uneven driveway results in days of puddle-splashing fun. She was soaked from head to toe by the time we finished, and had a slightly skinned knee, but lots of smiles and squeals to remember. I wish I had more pictures of this, but I was working with Dollar Store batteries. Bad idea. I got one picture, replaced the batteries another night and got only one more picture.
