Gracias Tio Juan y Tia Rachel

For Christmas Uncle Juan and Aunt Rachel got Joslin a jumper. I have to admit that when I put it together I was feeling a little like our house was being taken over by baby things. I just had no idea how BIG it was going to be, and we already had a bouncer and a swing. But the look on her face when we put her in it for the first time quickly changed my mind. She absolutely loves it. It plays music and makes animal noises as she bounces. She was squealing with delight. I immediately didn't care if it took up the entire family room. At times she got frustrated because she couldn't get the toys in her mouth. That is what all toys are for right? Since then she has learned how to work all of the different toys, rattles and wheels. She can even turn her little seat around to find different toys if she starts to get bored. Luckily there is one bug on a string that can easily be put in her mouth. Whew!

As you can tell she can really get this thing a movin'!

Practice Makes Perfect!

Joslin has recently learned how to roll over, and now she LOVES to play on the floor. We just throw down a blanket and some toys, and try to corral her. It amazes me that only a few days ago she was working so hard to roll over. She would get mad when we put her down on her stomach, because she couldn't quite get it (that silly arm kept getting in the way), and now we just can't stop her. She became a pro in just 2 days. It is amazing how quickly she is changing. Sometimes I wish we had a slow motion button. When she first learned, she was so excited about her new skill that she almost couldn't sleep. I am not joking. She would roll over as soon as we laid her down and get all excited again. We were also quite nervous about her sleeping on her stomach, but we couldn't keep her on her back believe me we tried. We even bought a sleep positioner (don't waste your money). Now that the new has worn off she is sleeping great again, and the doctor assured us that it is ok for her to be on her stomach as long as she is putting herself in that position.

Strawberry Pie!

Every year when I was little my mom would ask me what I wanted special for my birthday and I often picked strawberry pie. So guess what she made me this year for my birthday? It was super tasty! I felt like a kid again.

Spring is Here!

The weather has finally turned warmer, which we are quite excited for. It was so nice to dress Jos in shorts for the first time today. We love to take out the stroller and walk around the neighborhood with Barkley.
